Heidi’s Walk for Hope

Heidi’s Walk for Hope provides participants with an opportunity to walk a five-kilometre section of the beautiful Island Lake Conservation Area, shop at a fantastic vendor marketplace, and so much more—all in support of Family Transition Place’s emergency shelter, counselling services and education programs.

This event honours the memory of Heidi Ferguson (née Bogner). Heidi lost her life on September12, 2009 in a tragic domestic dispute with her estranged husband. The mandate of this event is to raise funds and awareness towards ending violence against women.
