Annual General Meeting - January 26th 7:00pm

Please save the date for the 2022 OBIA virtual Annual General Meeting on Wednesday, January 26th at 7 pm.   We will be reviewing the OBIA’s 2021 activities and hearing about the OBIA’s budget and plans for 2022.  We hope you can join us!

Virtual attendee’s will be provided with local food & refreshments to enjoy the meeting from home – full details and your official invitation coming early in the New Year!

OBIA Board of Management – Update

There have been some recent changes on the volunteer OBIA Board of Management: 

  • First, a very big thank you to Past Chair Joe Sammut, Mortgage Architects, and Past Director Shawn Koroscil, Koros Games, for giving us over 7 years of your dedicated service. You will be missed!
  • Congratulations to Mike Beattie, The Taphouse Craft Beer + Kitchen, who has been appointed the new OBIA Board of Management Chair and to Julie Thurgood-Burnett, S. Burnett & Assoc., the new OBIA Treasurer.  Thank you for volunteering even more of your time!
  • We also welcome David Nairn, Theatre Orangeville, and welcome back Rodney Hough, Entrepreneurs Club, as Directors on the Board of Management. Welcome aboard, gentlemen!  We are looking forward to working with you!

Joy Book Update

The Joy Book promotion is in full swing, with the Early Bird Draw scheduled for today!  Customers are encouraged to continue shopping, dining, and stamping their books until December 31st.  The Grand Prize Draw will take place in the first week of January.

Holiday Window Decorating Contest

Send in your Photos ASAP!

There’s still a few more days to send in your photos for the Holiday Window Decorating contest for a chance to win the grand prize marketing package worth $1500!

Registration for this contest is free and easy. Once your window is complete, take a photo and send it to:   That’s it!

A panel of judges will decide the winner on December 15th.  The winner will be announced at the Annual General Meeting in January.

We’ve designed something extra special for our littlest customers this year - a colouring contest featuring Mistletoe the Mischievous Elf & a chance to win a giant chocolate Santa from The Chocolate Shop!   Encourage your customers to print the colouring page from our website or pick up a copy from Sproule’s Emporium from now until December 17th

Joy & Lights….and Music!

We are continuing our Joy & Lights celebration with live music on Saturdays!  Every Saturday leading up to Christmas, a local artist will perform live at Broadway Music, 229 Broadway, from 2pm-4pm.

The performances will stream live on Facebook at: .

Grab your laptop & speakers, click the live stream on the Broadway Music Facebook page, and you can play the performances in-store for your customers to enjoy.
