Mental Health Supports

1)The Working Mind: COVID-19 Self-care & Resilience Guide

There is no denying that has been an incredibly challenging time for many of us.   There is so much uncertainty around when lockdowns will end and restrictions will be lifted, we are missing our families and friends, maybe we are struggling financially, having trouble balancing work and home life or just feel anxious or worn out!

It’s ok to not be ok, but we want you to know there is help and you are not alone!  The Mental Health Commission of Canada recently released a special guide for business owners to help with resilience strategies and self-care when life gets busy and our regular routines are disrupted.  Taking a mental health break during the day can make a huge difference in your overall mood and outlook.  We encourage you to try it and share with anyone you think could use some support.

The guide is available here.

2) The Edify Centre

Need someone to talk to? Whether you are looking for a little support and encouragement or more in-depth counselling the Edify Centre can help! They are currently accepting new clients for in-person and virtual counselling.  Visit their Facebook page for more information and you may also like to join their free Mental Health Support Group where you will find lots of inspiration, motivation and support from their qualified professionals.

Take-Out, Curbside Pick Up & Virtual Classes

Throughout the lockdown, we will be promoting that our Downtown businesses are OPEN FOR TAKE-OUT, CURBSIDE PICK UP & VIRTUAL CLASSES/APPOINTMENTS.

We have put together a list of businesses that are offering these services, please take a moment to ensure that your place of business is listed in the correct category on our website and contact me right away if you would like to be added to the list or have been listed in error.

Please note, if you have already submitted a change request, in may take a few days to process.

We thank you for your patience!
