Music in the park

“Friends, sunshine, music floating on the breeze - that sounds like summer to me”.

We are excited to tell you about a new concert series taking place in Alexandra Park from 11:00 am to 12:30 pm, every Saturday in July!    Downtown guests will be invited to hum along while they shop the Farmers’ Market, have a picnic in the park, and make a day of it by visiting our local shops and restaurants.  Picnic tables will be available, as well as a family games zone to encourage our guests to stay awhile.  Check out the full entertainment line-up here .

Special thanks to the OBIA Better Together Task Force for spear-heading this great idea!  Do YOU have great ideas when it comes to attracting residents and visitors to Downtown Orangeville? Can you spare a few hours in the month to volunteer?  We would love to welcome you to the Task Force!   Please contact Julia ambassador@downtownorangeville.ca to learn more!

Caregivers in the Hills

What is the Caregivers in the Hills Program?

Caregivers in the Hills is a free program that provides identification badges for unpaid caregivers in Dufferin County and Caledon.

Why is this program so important?

Caregivers often spend much of their time taking care of loved ones while placing their own needs on the back burner and asking for very little in return.

How can you help?

Local businesses are being asked to consider gifting members of Caregivers in the Hills with a small discount, gift card or certificate, or even a complimentary beverage when they visit your stores.  The hope is that this will encourage unpaid caregivers to take more time for themselves and feel validated and appreciated in our community.  In exchange for your support, Caregivers in the Hills will promote your business on their website, Twitter, Facebook, and Instagram pages.

Getting Started!

If you would like to welcome Caregivers in the Hills to your business, or find out more, please reach out! Call or text (519) 216-6671 or email info@caregiversinthehills.ca.

Have a great week everyone!
