Joy & Lights Tree Lighting Ceremony a Success!
What a truly incredible night we had for the Tree Lighting Ceremony & Starlight Shopping! We had a really great turn out and it was wonderful to see so many families enjoying the performances, singing along, enjoying a hot chocolate or apple cider from our local businesses, and having a happy time! THIS is what it’s all about! Thanks to each and every one of our businesses for staying open late, offering a little something special that night, coming out to watch, and sharing our posts on social media! Every little thing adds up to a magical night for our community!
Many Joy Books were stamped that night, and we look forward to continuing the promotion until December 31st! 5000 Joy Books have already been distributed to our participating businesses. If you need more Joy Books or would like to sign up, simply email ambasador@downtownorangeville.ca .
Rest assured, you can still stamp or initial your customers Joy Books even if you are waiting to receive more. Also encourage them to check with another participating business if they have not yet picked up a book. Joy & Lights….and Music!
We are continuing our Joy & Lights celebration with live music on Saturdays! Every Saturday leading up to Christmas, a local artist will perform live at Broadway Music, 229 Broadway, from 2pm-4pm.
The performances will stream live on Facebook at: https://www.facebook.com/broadwaymusicorangeville .
Grab your laptop & speakers, click the live stream on the Broadway Music Facebook page, and you can play the performances in-store for your customers to enjoy.
Holiday Window Decorating Contest
Send in your Photos ASAP!
We are seeing some beautiful window displays out there - please don’t forget to send us a photo of your windows for a chance to win the grand prize marketing package worth $1500!
Registration for this contest is free and easy. Once your window is complete, take a photo and send it to: ambassador@downtownorangeville.ca. That’s it!
A panel of judges will decide the winner on or before December 15th. The winner will be announced at the Annual General Meeting in January.

Tis the season to Love Local. The Dufferin Board of Trade is showing some local love over the next few weeks, check out these fun events!
Free Cookies & Hot Chocolate November 27th
This Saturday November 27th, the Dufferin Board of Trade wants to thank our Downtown Orangeville customers for shopping local! They will be giving away FREE cookies (purchased from 7 local bakeries) and hot chocolate from 10:00am-12:00pm at the Town Christmas tree! Spread the word and encourage your customers to enjoy a treat while they shop!
Free Gift-Wrapping December 4th & December 11th
The Dufferin Board of Trade will also be hosting two free gift-wrapping events at the Meridian Credit Union, 190 Broadway on December 4th & December 11th from 10:00am – 12:00pm. Customers can bring their locally purchased gifts and DBOT volunteers and staff will wrap the gifts for free!
