Halloween Haunt at the Farmers’ Market this Saturday October 23rd

There’s no place like home…and your local Farmers’ Market! Join us for Halloween Haunt at the Farmers’ Market this Saturday October 23rd!   It’s our way of saying thanks for a great spring & summer market season!   Here are all the fun details to share with your customers and staff:
  • Wear your costume & collect a treat bag at the Market entrance (while quantities last)
  • Vote for the best dressed market vendor!
  • Head across the street to the Opera House for live entertainment: 10am: Local author Carolyn J. Morris will delight our youngest patrons with a charming telling of her book “Paisley’s Pumpkin”
11am-1pm: Shake your bones to rousing musical performances from local favourites Ryan Hancock & Aaron Solomon followed by Heather Katz & TJ Whitelaw with special guest, Leisa Way.   Thank you so much for all your support this year, and don’t forget that the indoor market is moving back to Town Hall for the Winter season, starting November 6! Vendors will rotate from week to week, full schedule coming soon to the Farmers’ Market website – stay tuned!

Kin Club Santa Claus Parade

The Kin Club of Orangeville will host its’ annual Santa Claus parade on Saturday November 13th, from 4:30 - 6:30 pm. This year's theme is A Holly Jolly Christmas. We are still waiting for confirmation regarding the parade route and road closure hours and will share the information as soon as we can. In the past, Broadway from Sherbourne to First Street, Hansen Rd and First Street were all closed for the parade from 3 pm - 7 pm (approx.). The road closure times may be bit different this year due to the earlier start time and we have heard that the parade may run opposite to the normal route this year (starting at Rotary Park and ending at Hanson Rd. instead of the other way around)  Please rest assured that we will let you know as soon as everything has been confirmed.

Downtown Orangeville Holiday Events

Due to Covid-19 there will be no Tractor Parade of Lights or Moonlight Magic this year.   The OBIA Board made the difficult decision to cancel major events for 2021 back in June when planning normally begins for these large-scale events. The good news is that we’re planning several other exciting ways to celebrate the magic of the season and attract customers to our beautiful Downtown for the Holidays, including: The Annual Tree Lighting Ceremony, a Holiday Shopping Passport, Merry Sunday Shopping, window decorating contest and more!  Stay tuned for details after Halloween!
