[caption id="attachment_9264" align="alignright" width="151"] Bluebird Café & Grill[/caption] Hi everyone! [caption id="attachment_9263" align="alignleft" width="219"] Iconic Salon[/caption] We have thoroughly enjoyed seeing your Halloween selfie’s, scarecrows, and beautifully decorated storefronts over the last few weeks, thank you ALL for your participation! We saw so many people and families coming Downtown to take photos and we thought how wonderful it is that, together, we were able to give residents and tourists a little bit of fun and normalcy in the middle of a pandemic.   We all need that bit of relief from time to time, so make sure that you get a [caption id="attachment_9265" align="alignleft" width="217"] Readers' Choice[/caption] chance to partake in some tricks and treats this weekend – and enjoy that extra hour of sleep (clocks go back on Sunday)!

COVID-19 Screening Tool for Workplaces

Ontario has made it mandatory to screen employees and essential visitors for COVID-19 before they enter the workplace for the day.
  • The screening needs to include three questions, about employees’ health, travel and contacts. If they answer “yes” to any of the questions, they must self-isolate and contact their health provider to determine if they need a COVID-19 test.
  • You should keep screening records for 30 days. You can do this on paper or electronically, as long as the questions line up with the province’s COVID-19 Screening Tool for Workplaces.
  • Customers do not need to be screened. The regulation only applies to employees and essential visitors, like delivery people, maintenance workers and contractors.
CFIB has created a video showing you how to create your own screening tool – at no cost!   Click here for details.

Orangeville Winter Farmers’ Market Update

To provide a safe and comfortable Market shopping experience this winter, the Orangeville Winter Market will move to its temporary 2020/2021 home inside Tony Rose “B” Rink located at 6 Northmen Way, Orangeville.  The Tony Rose B-rink location offers plenty of space for safe social distancing and can easily accommodate the 50-shopper limit with plenty of space to spare! A special thank you goes out to the Town of Orangeville for accommodating the Winter Market at Tony Rose “B” Rink during these challenging times.   When appropriate, the Winter Market will return to its downtown, Town Hall home, hopefully in plenty of time for beginning of next season. We understand and recognise that moving the Winter Market to Tony Rose this season is not ideal. For this reason, we are offering a coupon incentive to all Winter Market shoppers with the intent to encourage them to shop downtown afterwards. This is another great reason to sign up to our coupon/gift certificate program! To learn more about what to expect at the winter market, visit: OrangevilleFarmersMarket.ca

Are your open Sunday’s?

We will continue to promote Sunday shopping throughout the year. Please have a look at this list and let us know if your business details for Open Sundays are correct. We understand that there may be businesses that need adding, and some who were open Sundays in the summer, who may no longer be for the winter period.
