Happy October! Little ghosts, goblins and ghouls will soon walk the streets of Downtown Orangeville looking for Witches in windows and Treats in their baskets. If you haven’t already, sign up for Tiny Tots Trick or Treating on October 21st! You will receive a sign letting kids know that your business is giving out candy. Also sign up for the Great Pumpkin Pop-Up, this year’s theme is Heroes and villains (see more details below). Get into the Halloween spirit and join the Boo! On Broadway fun this year on Saturday October 21st.

Fang-tastic Farmers’ Market 

Saturday, October 21st 9:00am- 1:00pm 

Kids of all ages will dress up and join us for the 🧛Fang-tastic Farmers’ Market🧛‍♀️ for the final outdoor Farmers’ Market day of the season!  Lots of spooky family fun awaits: 

Visit Mel for FREE Freaky Face Painting from 9 am – 1 pm 

Delight in the animals at the Petting Zoo from 9 am – 1 pm 

Sing, dance & enjoy Live Kids Entertainment! 

Treats will be handed out at the Welcome booth and at various vendors.  Marketgoers can vote for their favorite market vendor costume, hunt for the spookiest market vendor stall, take part in the Witches Walk Scavenger Hunt, cast their vote in the Great Pumpkin Pop-Up! The fang-tastic fun extends to Alexandra Park where only the bravest will visit Eerie Alexandra Park! 

Tiny Tots Trick or Treating 

Saturday, October 21st 10:00am- 12:00pm 

Little ones can show off their funny, spooky, sweet, and heroic costumes to participating downtown businesses on and off Broadway to receive a treat, while supplies last.  Kids will be looking for the “Tiny Tots Treat Stop” sign displayed in participating businesses windows. All roads will be open to traffic, so in the interest of everyone’s safety, we are reminding attendees that kids should be always accompanied by adults, cross at the traffic lights, and obey crossing guards. Please Email ambassador@downtownorangeville.ca to register your business for participation in Tiny Tots Trick or Treating and to receive a Tiny Tots Trick or Treating sign. 

Great Pumpkin Pop up – Heroes and Villains   

Saturday, October 21st 10:00am- 4:00pm 

Heroic pumpkins and villainous jack-o-lanterns designed by local Downtown Orangeville businesses will be on display in the Town Hall Circle and we need your creative entry to make it truly spooktacular!  The pumpkins will be displayed in front of the Opera House and guests will fill out a ballot to VOTE for their favourite pumpkin. Voting opens on Saturday October 21st 10:00am and closes at 4:00pm. $1 for every vote will be donated to the Dufferin Men’s Shelter*.  Click the button to read more about your entry and prizes. The Witches Walk Scavenger Hunt 

All Month Long! 

Kids of all ages will seek and find at least 10 wicked and whimsical witches in our Downtown storefront windows, and hand in their completed answer card, for a chance to win one of 3 Downtown Orangeville Kids Prize Packs! Each Prize pack will have a $75 value! 

Ballots are available online or can be picked up/dropped off at Moguls in Mocean and Sproule's Emporium. 

Eerie Alexandra Park & Spooky Sidewalks

All Month Long! 

The ghouls have gathered along our downtown streets and in Alexandra Park and they can’t wait to eat, oops! We meant, GREET you!  Visit the Downtown this October (if you dare!), strike a pose with your favourite ghoul along the street or in Alexandra Park. Don’t forget to tag us to get featured in our stories!  @downtownoville $1 for each tag* will be donated to the Dufferin Men’s Shelter.

Orangeville Winter Farmers Market - Saturday, November 4th

Say goodbye to the outdoor market on October 21st! A new market is in town! Starting November 4th the Orangeville Winter Farmers’ Market will be taking place inside Town Hall each Saturday until April 20th!  Get your mitts and toques ready, because there’s a reason to be excited for winter each Saturday!
