ASK (Assessing for Suicide in Kids) is a one day workshop for helpers who work with children. Some of the things you will learn include a research based definition of suicidality in children, how a child’s understanding of death is linked to suicide risk and key questions helpers need to ask a child to assess risk It is recommended that participants come to the workshop having already taken the ASIST or safeTALK workshop

This is a gentle slow 60 minute Yoga practice geared towards beginners or those who may not have practiced in a while. This is a non-heated practice. Please contact us with any questions! Applied Suicide Intervention Skills Training (ASIST) is a two-day interactive workshop in suicide first aid. ASIST teaches participants to recognize when someone may have thoughts of suicide and work with them to create a plan that will support their immediate safety. Although ASIST is widely used by healthcare providers, participants don’t need any formal training to attend the workshop—anyone 16 or older can learn and use the ASIST model.

safeTALK is a half-day (3.5 hours) suicide alertness training that prepares anyone over the age of 15, regardless of prior experience or training, to become a suicide-alert helper.
